  • Overview

    The Manager of Deposit Processing will be responsible for overseeing all check processing functions within the Banking Operations Department, as well as assisting with the performance of the team’s workload.  The hours for the position are generally 10:30 am-7:30pm. 


    • Assign and distribute workload to team members and ensure that all work is completed within assigned deadlines/SLAs.
    • Review delayed availability holds and the associated notice of delayed availability to ensure compliance with Regulation CC
    • Recognize and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with management and vendors to reach a resolution
    • Recommend and implement process improvements
    • Prepare and deliver reporting to management
    • Troubleshoot issues, collaborating with management and vendors on resolution
    • Recommend process improvements
    • Provide outstanding customer service to customers.  Includes responding to customer inquiries both internally and externally.
    • Communicate all critical information to management
    • Cross train and learn other functions within operations, as needed

    Team Responsibilities

    • Processing paper and mobile deposits; including the verification of checks and placing delayed availability holds in compliance with Regulation CC
    • Research and process FRB and bank-to-bank adjustments
    • Research and process chargebacks (returned deposited items)
    • Ensure notices are sent to customers with SLA


    • Bachelor’s degree strong preferred
    • Minimum 5 years banking operations experience
    • Solid understanding and strong working knowledge of banking regulations
    • 2+ years leading a team in a banking setting 
    • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize assignments
    • Demonstrates analytical problem-solving skills
    • Exercise discretion, strong interpersonal skills and independent judgment
    • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word
    • Proven propensity to learn new technologies quickly
    • Ability to provide stellar customer service to resolution
    • Self-motivated
