    Customers Bank, recently named by Forbes magazine as the 35th Best Bank in America (there are over 5,700 banks in the United States!), has an immediate opening for a Compliance Governance Coordinator to join our Compliance team. As a Compliance Governance Coordinator, you will support the Chief Compliance Officer in coordination of certain components of the compliance risk management program including regulatory follow-up and coordination as well as with other compliance related projects. Support of Compliance Officers may include, analysis of data, creation of templates and spreadsheets, mapping of work flows, regulatory analysis, assisting with the assessment of risk as well as policy and procedure drafting.

    Responsibilities

    • Revise forms, templates, and other documentation in coordination with compliance risk officers.
    • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, recommending changes and summarizing information in an approved format.
    • Create and maintain tracking logs for issues, send e-mails as reminders for due dates of actions plans.
    • Disseminate information and maintain tracking regarding change management.
    • Create and maintain spreadsheets. I.e. review spreadsheet formulas for consistency, make changes in linked spreadsheets as necessary, etc.
    • Manage certain compliance related projects
    • Maintain files and records. Compile information requested by regulators, auditors and other outside parties.
    • Create templates and documentation of compliance-related workflows, procedures, and forms.
    • Prepare dashboards, spreadsheets, and other documents for trend monitoring, issue tracking, and reporting.
    • Coordinate with business units to gather and evaluate processes and documentation for compliance-related analysis.
    • Perform compliance-related research as needed to support Compliance function.
    • Report writing and documentation.
    • Projects and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of banking experience (comparable experience may also be considered).
    • Basic proficiency and understanding of computers and technology required.
    • Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience using Adobe and Visio.
    • Strong sense of reliability and accountability.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Time management and priority setting.
    • Ability to work independently as well as with a range of senior managers, peers and junior colleagues.
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
    • Ability to build strong and productive working relationships.
    • Eagerness to learn.
    • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment.
