     Customers Bank, recently named by Forbes magazine as the 35th Best Bank in America (there are over 5,700 banks in the United States!), has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Enterprise Risk Management in our Risk Management Administration department. As the Director of Enterprise Risk Management, you will oversee the day to day enterprise risk management activities and lead/oversee the risk officers. This includes engagement with the scheduled risk assessment processes as well as unscheduled targeted assessments.

    We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.





    • Maintain an overall organizational understanding and continuously train/refresh knowledge to adequately perform assigned duties
    • Ensure the governance documents are kept up to date including but not limited to: the risk appetite statement, committee charters, and other such documents
    • Facilitate the Enterprise Risk Management Committee meeting, oversee the agenda, and review the minutes
    • Create recommendations to present to the Chief Risk Officer for the ongoing development of the ERM program


    • 5+ years of enterprise risk management experience within a Bank required
    • Prior regulatory agency experience preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Basic Adobe Pro knowledge preferred
    • Working understanding of apps, software, MIS systems, etc.
    • Time management and priority setting
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills; which includes creating reports and maintaining proper documentation
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment
    • Proactive identification of risks and ability to propose solutions
    • Work independently as well as with a range of senior managers, peers, and junior colleagues
    • Maintain and build strong and productive working relationships
    • Excellent project management skills and ability to lead other team members as part of a diverse working team
