    Customers Bank, recently named by Forbes magazine as the 35th Best Bank in America (there are over 5,700 banks in the United States!), has an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Manager within our Small Business Lending Department. As a Portfolio Manager, you will manage approximately 225-300 credits in the SBLG Portfolio (exposure up to $1mm). You will also monitor delinquencies, maturities, & assistant in loan closings.

    We are looking for a team player who has excellent customer service skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


    • Work closely with Sales Office Managers & BDO's to assist in the loan process
    • Primary goals include: under 1% delinquency (greater than 15 days) for the portfolio, no maturities greater than 30 days
    • Proven proficiency in Sales Force & clear exceptions within 30 days for any recently closed loans
    • Embrace the SPOC model of the Bank and work closely with colleagues to achieve desired results in the best interest of the Customer and the Bank
    • Maintain a clean and profitable portfolio identifying issues early and resolving based on the situation


    • 5+ years of Banking experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Management/Administration discipline
    • Background in credit, underwriting, and loan documentation
    • Knowledge of Bank products and the ability to consult with clients on potential solutions to potential problems
    • Knowledge of Commercial Loan & Deposit products offered by the Bank
    • Loan closing skills
    • Knowledge of the Appraisal & Environmental ordering process as well as other necessary 3rd party reports
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • FIS Trained
    • Knowledge of Sales Force & Encino
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Must be willing to work in a team environment and support their colleagues
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both Bank clients and Bank employees
    • The ability to work automatously and in the entrepreneurial spirit of the Bank
    • Desire for additional training in areas of need to further career within the Bank
