    Customers Bank, recently named by Forbes magazine as the 35th Best Bank in America (there are over 5,700 banks in the United States!), has an immediate opening for an SVP - Commercial Deposit Officer within our Global Funding department. As the SVP – Commercial Deposit Officer (CDO), you will be responsible for growing low-cost, core deposits within an assigned market/region. You will also be expected for creating leads, following up on prospects, creating and submitting prorposals, and closing deals. As a CDO, you will have pricing power within a defined range to assist with gathering MMDA and CD deposits.

    We are looking for an ambitious, self-starter who has excellent customer service skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


    • Focus sales efforts on Middle Market, Large Corporate, and Institutional Investors, who have no to low lending needs but high balances of deposits.
    • Build and maintain a network of COIs and an established book of business within Middle Market, Large Corporate, and Institutional Investor space.  
    • Active community involvement and conference attendance is required for growing visibility of the Bank.
    • Gain a solid understanding of deposit needs of prospects and ability to provide solutions to meet those requests.
    • Create, execute, and achieve strategic plan to meet deposit goals.  


    • Requires 5+ years banking experience with focus on sales, preferably self-generated.
    • Demonstrate a proven record of success with commercial relationship building and maintenance.
    • Basic knowledge of commercial deposit product suite and banking products required.
    • Position will fit within SPOC model, so candidate must be able to open accounts, implement products and services, and address issues on behalf of the client base.
    • Comfortable with public speaking and have proven success interacting with all levels of corporate heirarchy including C-Suite.
    • Credit training/lending experience is not required for this role.
    • Highly motivated and goal-driven
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with hi.gh emotional intelligence.
    • Technologically savvy and famiiar with CRM, preferably SalesForce
