Customers Bank, recently named by Forbes magazine as the 35th Best Bank in America (there are over 5,700 banks in the United States!), has an immediate opening for a Construction Loan Administrator within our Credit Administration team. As a Construction Loan Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately administering a portfolio of construction loans and maintaining positive relationships with customers, attorneys, third party vendors, and various departments throughout Customers Bank. In addition to administering construction loans, having experience in closing loans is critical in order to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review pre-closing documentation for commercial real estate construction and permanent loans.
  • Review loan approval documents, construction loan agreements, and engineer’s plan & cost report to ensure proper loan administration.
  • Assess borrower’s monthly requisition for accuracy and compliance with approved loan and funding budgets alongside the Relationship Manager in order to coordinate monthly advances with borrower, the inspecting engineer, and title company.
  • Loan set-up including completion of boarding sheets, calculation of required escrows, reserves and prepaid interest, preparation of general ledger debit and credit entries, and initiating wire transfers.
  • Maintain loan spreadsheets on a regular basis reflecting each funding, principal pay down, and release consideration payment.
  • Coordinate and fund construction loan advances including participated and syndicated loans.
  • Analyze and reconcile Construction Loan Report on a monthly basis.
  • Completion of quarterly loan status reports.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of work experience in Commercial Construction Mortgage Loan Administration.
  • Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Knowledge or work experience within the legal field preferred.
  • Team oriented with highly effective communications skills.
  • Ability to multitask and resolve problems independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
