Customers Bank, recently named by Forbes magazine as the 35th Best Bank in America (there are over 5,700 banks in the United States!), has an immediate opening for a Collateral Specialist within our Warehouse Lending group. This is a high-volume/high-productivity position where you will be measured on quality of work, customer service, and production. The Collateral Specialist will responsible for loan documentation, loan support, research, process administration, and communication. Other assignments will include daily follow up on MERS Registrations and WET notes with customers.     

We are looking for a customer centered individual that thrives in a fast paced, deadline intensive environment and has impeccable attention to detail.  

Responsibilities

  • Daily fundings completed within one hour of submission with high accuracy.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Accurately reviewing loan documentation and preparing wire requests.
  • Reviewing key data points of loans entered into system.
  • Perfecting collateral.
  • Managing tickler reports.
  • Understanding and reviewing property appraisals.
  • Verifying Closing Protection Letters and Attorney Insurance documents.

Qualifications

  • Professional with at least 2 years of mortgage experience.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Independent judgement and decision making skills with a strong problem resolution focus.
  • Ability to thrive in high pressure situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to Bank’s values.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, or related field preferred.
