Overview

Role:               Credit Analyst 

Location:       Warehouse Lending Division – Hamilton, NJ Office

Manager:      SVP, Credit Analysis Manager, Warehouse Lending

 

Role Summary:

The Credit Analyst will work collaboratively with the Credit team in our Warehouse Lending Group to ensure all credit systems are built and maintained to support a fast growing commercial-based portfolio where compliance is absolutely essential. They will work closely with Relationship Managers in the onboarding of new client relationships and the maintenance and renewals of existing credit relationships. 

Responsibilities

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Ensure that all requirements have been met with all potential commercial warehouse lending deals
  • Monitor compliance, collateral and financial performance of current and potential business customers
  • Maintain knowledge of secondary market and investor loan guidelines
  • Incorporate electronic methodologies into all tracking systems and processes
  • Develop and maintain a system of reporting on loan activities and business deal risks
  • Execute under pressure
  • Interpret data accurately and put in written format
  • Thrive in a focused, driven team environment where it is critical to deliver exemplary results within tight deadlines

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Strong accounting and financial analysis background
  • Experience in quantitative analysis strongly preferred
  • Ferocious attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, company managers, and customers in a team environment to attain common goals.
  • Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills
  • A quick learner with strong problem solving skills
  • Strong technology skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • College degree with 2+ years of experience in mortgage banking preferred
  • Experience using technology to help document and streamline processes
